Love in a Box is exactly what it sounds like — and more than it sounds like. We send them to our military personnel serving overseas. We send them to children fighting an illness in a hospital bed. We send them to anybody who’s hurting, anybody who needs a little smile, anybody who needs a little bit of hope in their life.
Just ask Amanda. She was struggling with postpartum depression when her box arrived, and she wrote us: “You may have thought that what you sent me was just a simple box of stuff… but this box of love that you gave me really should be called a box of hope, because it renewed my faith in humanity. It renewed my faith and will to live.” The most powerful thing in the box, she told us, was the note of encouragement she needed so desperately. She had been contemplating suicide — and she reached out and got help. “I’m one of those lives that you touched,” she wrote.
That’s what your gift sends: not just a box of stuff — a box of hope.
The amounts are only suggestions — never a minimum. If you have $5, give $5 — it will be put with somebody else’s spark, and together it gets the job done.
Every dollar given here stays in the Love in a Box bucket at One Spark Foundation. One Spark has no paid employees — 100% of the money goes to the cause. One Spark Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 27-1799429, and your gift is tax-deductible.
