Sometimes a person doesn’t need a big program — they need a couple hundred dollars to get by: medicine they can’t afford, a physical their child needs that they can’t afford, one of those small things that can knock a family sideways. We are not paying rent, and we are not making car payments — that’s not what this is. This is a hand in the gap, so one hard week doesn’t turn into a payday loan and a deeper hole. We never ask anybody to pay it back — and yet over 60% of the people do. We want to stand in the gap and be the helping hands that reach out — like Jesus reached out for us when He died on the cross.

The amounts are only suggestions — never a minimum. If you have $5, give $5 — it will be put with somebody else’s spark, and together it gets the job done. Every dollar given here stays in the Helping Hands bucket at One Spark Foundation. One Spark has no paid employees — 100% of the money goes to the cause.
